Peugeot 307 HDI 1.9 110Bhp Turbo Electro Valve ( ERG )
2003
My turbo preasure on my car has been a little low and intermittent now for about 6 months. I went to a local veichle brakers yard about 6 month ago and purchased a electro valve from a citroen car in the yard. This improved the problem slightly but not completeley.
1. Loss of turbo pressure.
2. Limited or no pull on acceleration.
3. Intermittent pull at different Revs, E.g. 2000, 2500, 3000
4. Normal turbo cut in Refs 1300, 15000 (Normal)
Fault Resolved
On the 06/01/2010 I phoned Arbury Peugeot Lichfield and placed an order with them for a new Electro Valve. Peugeot Reference Number 1628ZT. This unit sits between the Turbo waste gate and the engine vacuum system. Cost £46.33 inclusive of VAT.
I fitted the valve that night after work, only took about 10 minuets and this resolved the problem 100% fixed.
You can dismantle your old valve if you believe it is giving you problems and give it a good clean with WD40. This should help identify if this is what giving you problems. It may create a long term fix, or at least long enough for you to identify the problem.
I have uploaded some drawings of the old Electo Valve showing how to dismantle.
