Work Carried out on the 03/07/2011

Construction of the internal block work to construct the Annex Bathroom and the main house bathroom.

Also the Construction of the front wall and facing bricks to allow the fitment of the main front window.

As The Main Summer shutdown ( JCB Fixed Holidays )  creeps ever closer, the main focus is towards all outstanding jobs prior plastering.

I needed to get all internal wall construction done to allow me to install the electrical Power Sockets, Light Switches and Wall Lights points etc into the block work.

This is in preparation for the electrician to wire up and supply the relevant Part "
P" electrical certificate for the buildings inspector.

So how did it all go?

The day started at 7:30 and i had in my plan to build up the front wall block and  facing bricks the internal block work walls.

This consisted of……

250 Blocks
150 Facing Bricks
2 Door Lintels’

Did we finish it all?
Yes

We finished building at about 4:30pm and I continued until about 8:30pm cleaning up tools and floor etc

The only small error that was made is that the top row of facing bricks on the front wall was not up to my normal picky standard of levelness and as the plan was to sit a large window across this row of bricks i was concerned that it would become even more obvious.

Now i did not lay these bricks but also due to being busy myself helping with the blocks and mixing i failed to check the work of bricklayer.

Never mind in my normal way i just fetched off the top row and plan to relay them next week one evening after work.

All in all the day went excellent and it’s another large job closed off the “Work to Project List”.
DONE

Below as usual some pictures of the process

Updated 18/08/2011
