Dispute With British Waterways Over Canal Bank Ownership On Brindley Bank Road Rugeley
06/02/2010

This Page is dedicated to the subject of disputes with British Waterways and Home Owners.

We recently purchased our property and the land on the deeds of the property clearly indicated by a red boarder line that the land with the property went  down to the waters edge.

during the purchase of the property a dispute became apparent with British Waterways and the owner, Now this dispute was with the previous owners and came to night when they tried to register the land.

British Waterways had previously registered the land at the bottom of the garden. To cut a long story short we ended up purchasing the property without the land. The land owned by British waterways does not reference any size and we still have full access with boat mooring  at the bottom of the garden if needed. (Application Requirement)

Have you had any similar problems with British Waterways owning the bottom of your garden even through its on you property deeds.?
