You have probably read a lot of references to running your car down the motorway for a number of miles trying to keep your car above 3000 rpm wile trying to stay within the legal speed limits of the uk.

This is my personal recommendation to trigger a regeneration process on your Peugeot car or van.

When you use PP2000 to initiate a manual Particulate Filter regeneration Cycle the vehicle revs up to 3000 RPM for about 6 Minutes and then drops down to 1500 RPM for 2 Minutes.

The engine needs to be at a running temperature of about 75deg to allow the cycle to trigger.

Now this is my suggestion if you are not lucky enough to have access to the pp2000 software.

Take you car for a drive down a large main road "a good run" say 5 miles or so, The key to this process is to do the drive in second gear and no higher.

This will give you a driving speed of approx. 35 Mph.

Now this is not an attempt to thrash the liver out of you engine it is just to simulate the high engine temp and the 3000 RPM for a sustained 6 minutes

This may offend some people on the road who are not happy with you running at 35MPH on a road that may be 50 but i am sure it’s worth the abuse if you get to resolve your car problems.

3000 RPM in 4th gives you a speed of about 70MPH and this is extremely hard to maintain safely on a lot of the uk road’s

Thanks for your time.
