I have to fit 3 Velux Roof windows to allow some natral light into the two new bathrooms.
I believe that creating a vaulted ceiling will create a better light disapation and give a nicer visual affect on the rooms under development.
And of cause generate a lot more work !
Weekend 14/05/2011 Work Carried Out
Unfourtunitly i did not get as much done this weekend as planned due to helping my daughter move into her new rented house in Burntwood
I managed to take delivery of my new joists from tippers 75mm x 195mm that are planned to support both sides of the roof to supplement the removal of the cross purlings.
Removed block work in wall to take the new joist on the internal wall. Installed full length of joist and removed existing wood work.
Fixed into place with brick and cement and screwed into position.
Weekend 21/05/2011 Work Carried Out
This weekend was a continuation of last weekend’s project with the plan to finish the install of the 2 main supporting purlin’s and a cross Tie in purling.
I removed the old electrics and Plumbing work for the old power shower.
I did complete all planned work for the weekend.
Next planned job for the vaulted Ceiling Project is to create a framework with the old wood removed. This will be to extend the main wall up to the roof.
